I.       Dark Haven (hereafter referred to as DH) is a US (Central/East) guild for mature gamers. Realistically there is no way to verify age for guild membership, and age does not necessarily bring maturity. That stated the leadership of DH reserves and will actively utilize the right to remove members who prove incapable of acting in a mature manner.

II.      No Drama. We understand that there are times where you may not agree with someone, be they in the guild or not. If it is with a guild mate, try to come to a mutually acceptable agreement using private chat in-game (i.e., using /tells, and not in guild chat). If you need an objective third party, please PM a guild officer, form a group and work to resolution. If the issue is with someone outside DH, as hard as it may be, walk away. Having a shouting match in an online game isn’t going to prove anything. You can’t win. You can only add to a negative outlook of others about DH’s membership as a group of whiny loudmouths. Write their name down, and their guild tag, and look for them in the Border Kingdoms.

III.    DH is a PvE guild. Our focus will be toward PvE content and working toward establishing our guild city of Dark Haven. We are not a dedicated raiding guild, however, this does not mean our members can’t/won’t go on some raids either by ourselves or through joining up with other none guild members. We aren’t racing to the end-game raid content.

IV.    We are not a PvP, Battle Keep taking guild. This said, some of our members will partake in the PVP as they find it fun. No one will be marshaled out to the Border Kingdoms to be slaughtered against their will.

V.     We currently are not an RP guild; however, this does not mean members can’t RP. Respect the right of those who wish to RP to do so. Should there be an RP PvE server option offered we will most likely go to this server. Should that be the case, each member is expected to maintain the server rule set with regard to public chat channels. Understanding that not everyone spells perfectly every time they write, and that English is a second language for some, if you are not able to type/chat in full sentences w/o using l337 5p34k, please do not apply. The ability to communicate as an educated member of society is a must.

VI.    Character names must fall in line with the naming conventions that are appropriate for names in this setting. This means phrases or the compilation of letters to spell out other words or ideas are not acceptable as names. There are multiple sites on the internet where Roman (Aquilonia), Norse (Cimmerian) or Egyptian (Stygian) can be referenced and a suitable name chosen. Please note this applies to any alts that you may want in the guild as well.

VII.   DH does not condone RMT or Gold Sellers. If it is found that you are partaking in such activities you will be removed from DH.

VIII.  Keeping in mind that most people play these games to escape the daily crap of life, please be respectful and mindful of conversations you start in guild chat. Certain topics almost always lead to an argument. Best to avoid those or have such discussion in PM or group chat. Talk about sports, weather, the ridiculous price of gas is perfectly fine.

IX.    The Leadership of DH reserves the right to dismiss any member found guilty of breaking any rules/guidelines set forth by the makers of AoC, or the rules of just being a decent human being.
