Welcome to Dark Haven, traveler...
War. It surrounds us. It permeates the air. It is in our food, our drink and consumes our body and mind. Many of us can think back to a time when the sound of steel grating against bone was replaced by the laughter of children in the streets. A time when it was a boon to meet a fellow traveler on the roads of the land. A time when we enjoyed…peace.
But that time is gone, for now. Some say we may never see such a time again. They preach that the end of times is near. Others…well, they claim that to reach the moments of grace and prosperity that are ahead we must make it through the current storm. Both sides agree, however, that no matter which side is right, it is important to fight… to survive.
And so it became.
The town of Dark Haven was forged from the blood, sweat and will of many people from distant lands who share a determination to survive. Besieged on all sides by bands of murderous marauders and evil creatures that prowl the night forests, these men and women have built a sanctuary for those who are willing to work hard and take care of their fellow residents. It is here that is offered a second chance to those seeking such, and a place to call home for those who have lost theirs and are tired of living on the road, on the run. Many talented crafters and skilled warriors have and will call Dark Haven home. Will you?

Message from the Council- As the town of Dark Haven has only
recently opened its gates for those that seek residency, please note
that the town's charter, guidelines and government may change in small
ways as we move toward AoC's launch date. This said, I do not foresee
any large sweeping changes to what is presently here.

The Gates of the town of Dark Haven stand open to those
seeking refuge in these dire times. King Conan mobilizes his armies as
we speak to go to war against the against the various factions that
sense weakness in Aquilonia. With soldiers being pulled from patrols to
go to war, the dangers that plague this land are not only from the
outside, but also within. Come, sit by our fires and fill yourself with
food and drink at the Blade and Horn tavern. Rest yourself, for even if
you choose not to make your home in Dark Haven, you will at least have
gotten a filling meal and a good nights rest!
